All About Quality Assurance at Base Construction

Posted on | Leave a Comment

Base Construction provides cost-effective services, and we do so without any sacrifice to quality. All commercial and industrial general contracting services that we provide are strictly monitored by management to ensure that the expectations of our clients are always met or exceeded. For that reason, we strictly adhere to a rigorous internal quality control program on every project we take on. In this blog, we’ll provide some insights as to how we achieve our high quality standards.

Our Quality Assurance and Control System

Safety With Quality

Our team has established a comprehensive quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) system. Our proprietary QA/QC system strictly documents each phase of a project, ensuring that operations adhere to all required client and regulatory parameters. This system requires input from each person in our organization, driving a spirit of continuous improvement across all services and support that we offer.

At Base Construction, our corporate philosophy dictates that every job must be completed with safety as an utmost priority. We understand that accidents typically occur because of human errors and are very much preventable. Our internal processes are designed to mitigate human error risks and accidents from arising—and we have pristine safety records to prove it.

All About Quality Assurance and Safety at Base Construction

Any number of factors can increase the risk of critical human errors, such as:

  • Rushing to finish a job
  • Stress
  • Unsafe working conditions
  • Poor workmanship

We intentionally create a workspace that eliminates these common dangers by ensuring our employees are well trained and have the time, tools, and assistance they need to get the job done.

To this end, we have created a comprehensive program to keep our workers safe, known as the Injury and Illness Prevention Program (IIPP). This program requires weekly and monthly safety meetings, as well as daily safety meetings on all shut-down and long shift projects. The IIPP is updated on a regular basis to ensure that it continues to address all relevant issues.

Keeping in Compliance

Beyond safe operation, we strive for successful, on-time, and high-quality work – every time, for every client. To be certain we meet all safety standards, we strictly adhere to the following standards:

  • Occupational Safety and Health Compliance (OSHA)
  • Client Specific Safety programs
  • Our proprietary IIPP internal safety program

Given our commitment to safety, Base Construction can also assist clients in implementing their own Process Safety Management (PSM) and Job Safety Assessment (JSA) programs.

Safety incentives and program awards are critical to the effectiveness of our safety programs. Our expectation of employee participation is very high—in return, our employees receive incentives that are tied to their performance on the job.
