Underground Piping Helps Contribute to Earth Day

Here at Base Construction, we’re proud to work on any project that helps to improve our environment. Right now, we’re working with Nellson LLC, a company based out of Anaheim, CA that creates some of the best bar and powder nutrition products available on the market. We’re currently constructing an underground drain system for their industrial wastewater.

The system we’re constructing has been designed to collect all of their industrial wastewater into one central location where it can then be clarified, degreased and cleaned thru pumping and advanced treatment processes before it is disposed to a city wastewater treatment facility. Ultimately, this water is drained into city sewer systems. Disposing of wastewater correctly is important for our planet and the future of our environment and other ecosystems.  Treating industrial wastewater the right way before it gets to the city sewer system helps increase quality and quantity of reclaim water which could be used in many applications besides fresh city water.

Worldwide, every society needs clean water to live, and estimates show that by 2025, as much as two-thirds of people around the globe will be facing potential water shortages. Contributing to this are stressed ecosystems due to an exploding population in the last 50 years. In an effort to combat this alarming trend, companies can dispose of wastewater in the right way. There’s no better time for people to get involved than with Earth Day right around the corner on April 22nd.

Although seventy percent of the planet is covered with water, only a small fraction of that is freshwater. Finding new solutions, doing what we can now, and bringing awareness to the global water problem will all help to set our planet back on the right path. Our project with Nellson LLC was completed at the end of March, and we look forward to the next project that will help keep our planet going strong and providing much needed fresh water for everyone. Here at Base Construction, we contribute to industries like construction, industrial, green, and wastewater.
